The protection of your data is very important to us, and we have made sure that the protection of your data is given the highest priority when designing our website.

IONOS collects personal data as part of the provision of the website. The collection of this data is absolutely necessary to enable a connection to the website and for its smooth functioning. Hosting by IONOS takes place exclusively on servers in Germany. IONOS is bound by a specific contractual clause for any processing operations of your data on behalf of us, and must guarantee the data protection and confidentiality level required by the GPDR.

What data is collected?

The following data is collected from website visitors, and is anonymized as soon as it is collected:

  • Referrer (previously visited website)
  • Requested website or file
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Type of device used
  • Time of access
  • IP address in anonymized form (only used to determine the location of access)

The data is collected for statistical evaluation and for the technical optimization of the website. This data is not analyzed for marketing purposes.

Are cookies used?

By default, only technically necessary cookies are used - but no tracking cookies. The technically necessary cookies are deleted after each browser session. It is also possible to delete cookies manually in the browser.

The legal basis for the processing of the data is our legitimate interest in the functionality, stability and security of our website in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1f of the GDPR.

How long is the collected data stored?

The data is stored for 8 weeks.

Is the data passed on to third parties?

No, data is not passed on to third parties. We have also deliberately refrained from using plugins from third-party providers or integrating content from other providers into our website.

Reservation of an appointment

You can book an appointment at our practice on our homepage. By doing so, you agree to the storage and processing of the data you enter. These are:

  • Surname
  • First name
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Type of insurance
  • whether you have already been treated in our practice
  • your e-mail address
  • Your telephone number
  • The reason for your visit

The legal basis for the processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1a of the GDPR in conjunction with the necessary processing for pre-contractual measures with you in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1b of the GDPR.

How long are the collected data stored?

Normally, the data are stored on the servers of our web host IONOS for only a few minutes. Please note that this time may be extended in the event of technical problems. However, we have concluded a contract with IONOS for commissioned data processing in accordance with Art. 28 of the GDPR. The data are then stored locally in our practice for as long as is necessary for the purpose of making an appointment with you. If you eventually become a patient of our practice, we are obliged to keep your data for at least 10 years after the end of your treatment.

Will the data be passed on to third parties?

No, your data will not be passed on to third parties.

Your rights as a data subjects

Under the GDPR, you are considered a data subject if personal data concerning you is processed by us. For this reason, you can make use of various data subject rights that are enshrined in the General Data Protection Regulation.

Right to information

You can request information in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR about your personal data that we process.

Right to object:

You have a right to object for specific reasons (see below).

Right to rectification

If the information concerning you is not (or no longer) accurate, you can request rectification in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR. If your data is incomplete, you can request that it be completed.

Right to erasure

You can request the erasure of your personal data in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR.

Right to restriction of processing

In accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority of your choice in accordance with Art. 77 (1) GDPR. This also includes the data protection supervisory authority responsible for the responsible party: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.

Right to data portability

In the event that the requirements of Art. 20 para. 1 GDPR are met, you have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract been handed over to you or to third parties. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of log files are absolutely necessary for the operation of the website. They are therefore not based on consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR or on a contract pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, but are justified pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The requirements of Art. 20 (1) GDPR are therefore not met in this respect.

Right to object according to Art. 21 (1) GDPR

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of your personal data which is based on point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR. The controller will then no longer process the personal data unless the controller demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of log files are absolutely necessary for the operation of the website.
